Largehearted Boy Playlist for My Old Kentucky Home
In honor of the upcoming paperback release of my biography of the song, “My Old Kentucky Home,” Largehearted Boy published this annotated playlist. It’s not versions of My Old Kentucky Home, which can be found elsewhere on this site. It’s music that has mattered to me as I thought about and wrote the book. Thank you to the artists who have inspired me, including Tara Key, James Taylor, Randy Newman, Nathan Salsburg, Tyler Childers, John Prine, Squirrel Nut Zippers, Silver Jews, Fiona Apple, Freakwater, Love Jones, Kevin Drane (KD) and Demi Demaree (Villebillies), Matt Sweeney, Bonnie Prince Billy, Pastor TL Barrett and the Youth for Christ Choir. I hope you enjoy and share. You can also go straight to Spotify, link here
